Creative Hands = Clear Minds

Being a new parent is an exciting experience. But at first, it can potentially be somewhat overwhelming. Nurturing and caring for our precious little bundles is all consuming as we constantly guess what it is they are trying to tell us. Sometimes, we can forget who we are as individual beings...

Craft workshops for a stronger community

Mumma Got Skills provides craft workshops for Mums and Bubs. Workshops are designed specifically to provide creative outlets for new and expectant mothers pre-birth and throughout the first twelve months of motherhood.

  • Engaging in simple creative tasks allows the mind to quieten.

  • Negative thought patterns evaporate.

  • Mood levels are boosted.

  • Distraction from daily worries disappear.

Mumma Got Skills offer regular scheduled workshops. Bring your bub and come and join other new mums and their bubs in crafty activities.

Mumma Got Skills can also come to you. Get together a group of friends and we will bring craft projects to you, your friends and bubs in the comfort of your own home.

Up late workshops

At Mumma Got Skills we know that time out without the bubs is important too. That's why we offer workshops for women who may or may not be mummas and bub stays at home. Take a look at our Poly and Pop workshops. Let your creative energy flow by designing and making statement earrings using Polymer Clay. These monthly evening workshops (BYO, nibbles provided) create a fun and supportive atmosphere where women at all stages of life can be stylish designers.

Giving back through craft

Working independently and alongside relevant support organisations, Mumma Got Skills can tailor workshops to mothers at risk due to antenatal health issues; mothers with limited access to financial resources and mothers in remote communities.

For every paid workshop, your are contributing to one free place for a mother in need.
